well it’s the leap year today. february 29th!!

and that makes exactly one and a half years with my dear.

wow.

not very long, considering we still have an eternity to go. but still, time does fly doesn’t it.

the retard gang was going on about how you shouldn’t reject dates on Feb 29 of a leap year, but i’m so so so sorry dear. i’ve realy got wayyyy too many things at hand. the only thing i can think of, is a little surprise for you later! it’s nothing much… but.. well, as a form of apology la alright?

haish. i’m so damn sleepy now. but must perservere!! cannot be so slack in my studies, otherwise i’ll be letting my dear down, for NOT going out AND not even doing well in my tests. dear, thanks for being so understanding okay? i know you said i’ve already helped you a lot for planning for the australia trip but i know i haven’t exactly done it to the best of my ability. i’m so sorry okay?

and what’s the worse thing that can happen during this period of time? i have an open book exam on Monday. and guess what? my printer ran out of ink!

btw, there’s a mosquito in my room! i had sooooooooooo many bites last night, some parts of my fingers are still swollen from it.. and somehow as i’m studying here at my table, i’ve got tons of bites too!!! boohoohoo.

must be the stupid construction thingy, whereby they’re building some fire engine route. damn!

oh well, couldn’t resist coming online for a while in the midst of studying. i don’t think all that differential and density gradient centrifugation as well as affinity chromatography was being too good to my brain. :(

anyway, better write a list of what to do so that i can remember (yes i’m scattered brain, happy?)

haha. it’s actually like a little letterbox whereby block comm did for our blockers.. and yup where we deposited our vday gift to everyone as well :) (surprising the apollo biscuit is still around though my hello panda biscuits are long ago gone..). the mask was from the Mardi Gras we had earlier.

and well, as you can see, there’s NOTHING in there now! :(

okay. so dear and i decided to head to town today. seriously i haven’t done proper shopping and walking around in town for ages (all thanks to vivo, which is much nearer and more convenient).. so yup, it’s plaza sing for today!

went to spotlight and got ourselves many many stuff for me to make dear an eeyore pencilcase :D
it’s damn funny. cos actually we couldn’t find the template at all. they’ve got tons of winnie the pooh around, but just NO eeyore. boohoohoo.
so anyway we decided to head to long john’s for dinner (whereby they have internet access), and searched for cross stitch photos of eeyore.. and voila! we managed to find it!!! :) so happy lah!

don’t ask me how am i going to pixelate it and transfer it onto the cloth.. i have no idea either..

yup, the stuff we bought. excited to get started! but of course, i need to complete my webcasts first! then probably read some notes.. i wouldn’t want to be failing my studies. (yes yes i’m still a mugger after all. hahah. i know how to set my priorities okay!!!)

this cny, i didn’t really do much visiting. well my mum was somehow just rather tired of going visiting here and there, so yup.. there was an exponential decrease in my angbaos! :(

mount faber:

well this was a really good experience. dear got the truck from hallplay since he was the driver. so yup, suddenly while walking to dining hall he just asked me “you want to go to mount faber later?”. and of course i said yes. free vehicle, why not right? (but we topped up the petrol okay! so it’s not like we’re really freeloaders or misusing the funds la)

the scenery wasn’t too bad.. but not extremely fantastic i guess. i went to check out the prices for Jewel Box, as a possible venue for my birthday, but I rejected it, as it was wayyy too expensive ($70+++) and I think my friends would murder me if they have to pay for this price for dinner. haha. so yes, there’s also “The Hill”, but the venue is too small! i’m planning to invite say about 60 odd people.. so yup, this is the reason why you guys have to pay for your own dinner, as I can’t possibly afford to pay for everyone! but for those of you who are ngiao, you can choose not to turn up!

oh yes, i off-tracked by a lot. erm, so there was this oldies music being played at The Hill. And dear took my hand and waist and started waltzing with me… in the middle of the road. hahah. it was so funny, albeit romantique, but we just danced there like nobody’s business. and since there wasn’t much traffic anyway! haha.

oops, i realized that view at mount faber is blocked (thanks to lousy picture pile function), but anyway it wasn’t fantastic so yeah.

alright, then valentine’s day. seriousy sometimes i think vday is all too hyped up. if it’s someone special, everyday would be like a valentine’s day anyway! i know how much of a trouble dear went through to get flowers, so i’m going to be really really appreciative of that!

anyway, we wanted to go to cafe les amis at botanic gardens to eat. but somehow we hollan-ed a lot.. and it was so tiring walking with my heels, that dear actually offered to piggy back me! i was super reluctant to, because i know exactly HOW FAT AND HEAVY I AM. i weigh soooooooooo much more than a fbo la!!! but dear insisted. so oh well..

anyway, by the time we walked around in circles, we managed to find the place eventually, with the help of the staff from au jardin (which is also part of the les amis group). but by the time we reached there, the place was closed! and it was the cafe that was dismissed earlier cos we didn’t read the notice and didn’t think that was cafe les amis. hahaa.

but then again, without that, we wouldn’t have found this place called “karma kettle and rhapsody”, which is located at cluny court. anyway, cluny court is just beside botanic gardens, which dear wanted to piggy back me once again, while i sang songs to ehh… serenade him? lol.

the food at karma was good!!

the salad was very good! it tasted like those that i had in france.. i think somehow it reminded me of what my madame used to cook for me. or make rather, since salad doesn’t involve cooking. dear loved the tomatoes, as it was really really fresh! as for the mains and desserts, we ordered one of each to try. the lamb chop was surprisingly nice, even though those who know me.. know that i’m practically a vegetarian except that i eat fish. but the sauce made it really good! and it was so tender!

blueberry cheesecake was so cheesy and nice! unlike some that i’ve tried, this one really brings out the strong cheese taste (but not until it’s pungent like blue cheese or something). and chocolate fondant… oohh… orgasmic i tell you. it was so freaking heavenly!!! plus the portions were really good, i felt so full and satisfied!!

i think the cafe was really nice, because the lady boss was very attentive, asking if the food was too our liking, and whether we would like a 5 minute break before they serve the dessert, etc..

THE SHOT ROCKS! honestly! enough alcohol content, the sweet and delightful taste of rum, mixed perfected with cocoa vanilla.. woah.. i almost wanted to buy a bottle back (they’ve got small bottles for sale).. but it costs $21 for one tiny bottle so i was a little apprehensive. and they have like french stuff too! haha. so cool!

there’s this drink that we took that night. it’s called.. luxurious peach tea? is it, dear? i can’t remember the exact name, but the blend was not too bad too!

okay, i sound very piggish because i seem to be talking about food, food and more food! haha. this explains my size i guess :(

okay so now about mardi gras..

the turnout wasn’t too good. but i guess people who came had fun with the carnival games and all. :D
and i think it was so cool that we provided costumes, so people could dress up.. and they actually did too!! haha. and we had pretty masks!!!!!!!!!!! (which i stuck outside the box thingy outside my door.. shall take photos of my door when i’m back in hall on sunday cos i think it looks very pretty and cool now!)

catwalking wasn’t exactly the thing i wanted to do, but never mind.. and i think it’s cool that we got the audience to join in too, instead of just involving block comm. so cheers everyone! (and sorry to those people whom i psycho-ed to get up on stage!)

btw dear is super reluctant to pose with the mask! hahaha. and i love my mask la! damn chio! (the mask i mean, not me la!)

guess what? i’m back to blogging once again. hahaha. this period of time, it just feels weird.. like how i’m actually reading blogs (like hl, nx, joo, etc).. but somehow.. although they seem to be updating me with their lives.. my life is like hidden from the rest of the world.

also because i have itchy fingers and i want to continue blogging.

and well, i do miss blogging.. haha.

i won’t bother updating my archives and uploading them onto this blog..because i’ve had like 3 other wordpress blogs (and that’s excluding blogspot and all).. so can you imagine all the hassle? i have to get the posts from everywhere! so nah.. you just have to imagine whatever that happened.. lol.
